signed FL@33 book (bi-lingual: English AND French): design & designer
033 – FL@33 published by Pyramyd Editions
FL@33 is a multi-disciplinary design studio for visual communication based in London. Its founders, Agathe Jacquillat (French from Paris; ESAG Penninghen) and Tomi Vollauschek (Austrian, but from Frankfurt; FH Darmstadt) met on the Royal College of Art's (RCA) postgraduate Communication Art and Design course in 1999 and set up their studio after graduating in July 2001.
The studio’s clients include MTV Networks, BBC, Royal Festival Hall, Laurence King Publishing, Creative Review, Computer Arts, Groupe Galeries Lafayette, Matelsom, Arts Affaires and Friends of the Earth.
The two launched Stereohype.com – Graphic Art & Fashion Boutique – in 2004: an international platform for both emerging and established talents. The duo have also released self-initiated projects such as the award-winning Trans-form magazine and online sound collection project bzzzpeek.com.
FL@33 interviews, features and company profiles have been published online, in numerous magazines, newspapers and books around the world. Interviews featured on BBC Radio and NPR, America’s National Public Radio.
A FL@33 monograph was published in 2005 as part of the bi-lingual (English and French) and highly collectable 'design & designer' book series by French Pyramyd Editions.
The duo released two books so far that were conceived, written, edited and designed by FL@33 and both books were published worldwide by Laurence King, London. The first book is Postcard from 2008 and was translated into French, German and Spanish. Their latest book is Made & Sold: Toys, T-Shirts, Prints, Zines and Other Stuff, released in October 2009.
press clipping:
"..., this is a perfectly formed
volume showcasing the intriguing work of London-based Franco-Austrian duo Agathe
and Tomi, aka FL@33. Its diminutive size means that the emphasis is on imagery
rather than text, so copy is pretty much restricted to the captions and a preface
by Liz Brown. It doesn't really matter too much, though, as the work is consistently
engaging and presented in a fresh and appealing way. It's a great snapshot of
what they've achieved so far and bodes well for FL@33's future." grafik magazine

signed trans-form magazine: designed and published by FL@33
A few remaining copies of the award-winning and previously sold out trans-form
magazine have been recovered and are now exclusively available at stereohype.
Trans-form, trans-it, trans-port.org is a self-initiated Architecture, Art and
Design publication by FL@33 founders
Agathe Jacquillat and Tomi Vollauschek. It's a conceptual project based on an
everyday observation of tower cranes combining a magazine, a CD-Rom and a website.
The large scale magazine is exploring the magic of urban sculptures which appear
and disappear in the cities we are living in. Tower cranes which are lifting,
transporting, re-constructing, drawing, cutting, performing and 'trans-forming'
are usually unnoticed by the public's eye. Trans-form presents information about
tower cranes and crane operators' daily work in the sky. The CD Rom adds videos
and animations combining industrial structures with natural imagery and is presenting
a cityscape metamorphosis, defining our cities as being in a 'larval stage'.
Trans-port.org offers you the possibility to 'build your own crane', to 'climb'
a tower crane' and to 'be a crane operator'.
